The Mayor of Urhoboland, who is head of the Association of Family Mayoral Crown, AFMC, Eshanekpe Israel, a.k.a Akpodoro, has welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back home after a 2-week vacation embarked upon a fortnight ago.

The Mayor expressed his excitement at the return of the President at a meeting of stakeholders held in Abuja over the weekend saying as against the evil wishes of those he described as enemies of the Nigerian state who he said had resorted to ill wishes arising from their “satanic speculations,” the President returned hale and hearty.

Mayor Akpodoro wondered why a section of the country chose to be callous in their thoughts about their nation, adding that no reasonable human being should ever wish a fellow human evil stating that the “Lion of Judah who never sleeps nor slumber keeps watching over the nation.

He noted that no amount of ill motivated guest work can ever manifest against the Nigerian President who he noted was overwhelmingly voted for by majority of Nigerians via the 2023 presidential poll to be their president.

President Tinubu, Mayor Akpodoro noted, has decided to commit his entire life to the betterment of the country and that he needed the support of all and sundry, stating that those shouting hunger have found occupation in abusing their president and denigrating their nation as he called for character reformation on the side of the citizens.

He stressed further that a few tetrogressive elements won’t be allowed by the majority of progressive to backpeddal ongoing reformation and economic buyback engaged by the present administration saying the future is bright for those who can join efforts at building a virile nation.

He maintained that, Nigerians across segment including the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Trade Union Congress, TUC, Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Nigerian Market Womrn Association, NMWA, Civil Society Organisations, CSOs and others should encourage their members to be patient, with the government while he called on the National Orientation Agency, NOA and other agencies to up their game by keeping Nigerians abreast of information.

The Mayor argued that government agencies owe it a duty to explain the policies and programmes encapsulated in the Renewed Hope agenda of the current administration to the Nigerian population to make it less pervious to those he called agents of discord, and purveyors of fake news.

He noted that while the President was away, some cynical minds were manipulating Nigerians, taunting the government and making caricature of the entire political system and mocking both the President and his Vice, Alhaji Kashim Shettima over what they called vacuum in the government.

“Cynically emotional writers went to work and spread fake news in sync with their unpatriotic sentiments bottled same as public opinion in their mockery. We thank God the president is back. It’s most unfortunate that such devilish people exist in our clime even as religious as we claim to be.”

He said now that the President is back on his job, he should expedite action on sacking all non performing Ministers.

Akpodoro stressed that most Ministers who are found wanting in their service to the nation are doing so deliberately to sabotage the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President.

“He should reshuffle his cabinet for new hands to help him achieve his lofty goals for the nation. He cannot do it alone. He needs able hands to join him to build a stronger, more reliable, and more functional Nigeria where peace and unity will be our common denominators.”

Akpodoro stated that, Agriculture, Education, Finance, and Ministry of Works, Information and National Orientation and others are very crucial sectors that should not be left in the hands of non creative personalities.

He noted that younger Nigerians are in the waiting to be beckoned upon to add their quota to national growth and development as he urged the President to allow the old ones retire and render their support from the comfort of their retirement.
