It was a black Monday for management and staff of Warri North local government council, following the the death of a staff of the council and two other persons who lost their lives in a road accident that occurred along Koko/Ugbenu express road.
The chairman of the council Hon Aduge Okorodudu, who was in shock when the news of the incident was disclosed to him in his office, described the incident as pathetic, shocking, and devastating.
In a condolence message to the family of the victims, the council chairman, sympathized with them, noting that their deaths remained a great loss to the council, and the entire Koko community.
He urged them to take solace in the fact that death was inevitable, and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
He later used the opportunity to appeal to motorists to obey traffic rules, and cautioned against over speeding during the “ember” months to forestall road crashes during the period.
