First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has rolled out a major upgrade to its mobile banking application, introducing a suite of new features designed to deepen customer engagement and accelerate its digital-first strategy.
The enhanced app now includes a reward points system that lets customers earn and redeem points on transactions, alongside access to mutual fund investments, instant virtual card services, and an in-app AI-powered customer support chatbot called “Temi.”
In a bid to attract new users, the bank also unveiled a Regal Premium Lifestyle Subscription, offering perks across travel, dining, and entertainment, plus three months of free transfers for first-time customers.
Existing users can now upgrade their accounts from Tier 1 to Tier 2 directly within the app without visiting a branch unlocking higher transaction limits and additional services. Virtual card requests and activation are also instant, streamlining online purchases.
Speaking on the update, Oladipo Alabede, Divisional Head of Payments and Solutions, said: “At FCMB, we are constantly innovating to meet the evolving needs of our customers. These features are designed to provide convenience, reward loyalty, and empower our customers to do more with their finances, right from their mobile devices.”
Adetunji Lamidi, Divisional Head of Personal Banking, added: “These upgrades reflect our technology-driven strategy to build a smarter, more intuitive banking platform. By integrating intelligent support systems like Temi and enabling instant services such as virtual card activation, we are redefining convenience and accessibility in banking.”
The move underscores FCMB’s commitment to competing in Nigeria’s crowded digital banking space, where user experience and value-added services are key differentiators.
