There was massive turnout of people on Saturday from within and outside the Delta state Capital Asaba, who benefitted from the free medical outreach organized by the management of the First Delta American Hospital Asaba (FDAH) and the Dr. Isioma Okobah Foundation in partnership with the Echolab Radiology and Laboratory Services.
Speaking with newsmen during the programme, the Chairman and CEO of FDAH, Dr. Isioma Okobah, said “the free medical outreach was borne out of our hearts and organizational goal to give back to the society by ensuring good health and promoting wellbeing for all”.
She said in order to reach out to the less privileged, downtrodden and unreached, there was need to bring the health care facility to the popular Ogbeogonogo market square in Asaba and also to serve as succor to people facing diverse health challenges, financially constrained and having no access to good medical facilities.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with FLAGNEWS expressed happiness while praying God to bless the organizers as they wish the program to continue periodically in order to impact many lives.
The free medical outreach featured free eye screening and presentation of reading glasses, medical consultation with professional doctors, free drugs for hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, arthritis among others.
