Enugu State Federal High Court on Friday remanded Victor Nnam, a former Enugu State Commissioner for lands, in prison custody over alleged land scam committed as commissioner in the state.
Nnam who is a surveyor was arraigned before Honorable Justice I. N. Buba of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Enugu by the Federal Government for allegations bothering on forgery.
The presiding judge who gave him an option of N200m fine and a landed property at the Zoo estate in Enugu for his bail condition later remanded him at the Enugu prisons pending when he would meet with the bail condition.
It would be recalled that the former commissioner resigned from his position after the operatives of the EFCC launched investigations into his activities at the ministry following multiple petitions it received from the ministry officials.
