A senior lecturer in the department of History and International Studies at Federal University Lafia( FULAFIA),Dr Fred Ekpe Ayokhai has been apprehended by police in Lafia,Nasarawa State for ruthlessly brutalizing a 20-year old girl who fought his daughter over a man.
Ayokhai who is a former ASSU chairman in the school, was arrested along side his daughter Emmanuella Onawegie on friday night.
This follows after a video which captured the senior lecturer and his family brutalizing Blessing Martins surfaced.
Instablog9ja reported that,sometime last week Blessing Mathias had confronted Ayokhai’s daughter,Emmanuella, for trying to snatch her boyfriend, identified as IG.
Blessing confronted Emmanuella after she found out that she had her boyfriend’s number and was chatting with him. She had asked her to delete the number but Emmanuella brazenly refused leading to a fight.
Forging to yesterday, Emmanuella accompanied by her father, Ekpe Ayokhai; her brother,Praise Shola; and other family members invaded Blessing’s residence to give her the most inhumane treatment one can imagine.
Videos recorded by the family showed that they used sticks,wood,belt among others to beat her ruthlessly before forcing her into their car,afterwhich they drove her deep into an unknown forest where the senior lecturer used a pair of scissors to tear her dress from her body.
It was gathered that they later pushed her out of the car,took pictures of her and abandoned her in the forest.
As at the time of filing this report,Praise Shola and the other yet- to be identified perpetrators are on the run.
