G37 Backs President Tinubu, Says Nigeria In Safe, Determined Hands Amid Economic, Security Concerns

The G37, a national sociopolitical group, has urged Nigerians to remain calm and supportive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, assuring citizens that the country is on the path to long-term stability despite current economic and security challenges.

In a press statement issued by its President, Idris Umar-Farouq and National Secretary, Prince John Aremu, the group acknowledged the growing public concerns over the state of the nation but insisted that the Tinubu administration is implementing necessary reforms to rebuild Nigeria’s foundations.

According to the G37, the present government inherited deep-rooted structural problems, ranging from economic distortions to long-standing security lapses, which cannot be resolved through “temporary fixes or political cosmetics.”

The group praised the President for what it described as “bold, honest, and transformative leadership,” adding that the tough reforms being undertaken are essential for sustainable national progress.

On security, the group expressed confidence in the administration’s strategy, citing strengthened military operations, improved intelligence coordination, collaboration with local security outfits, and investments in modern security infrastructure. These efforts, the statement said, are beginning to produce positive results in some regions.

G37 criticized individuals and groups allegedly attempting to exploit the nation’s difficulties for political advantage, warning that such actions undermine national unity. “Nigeria’s future is bigger than partisan desperation,” the statement read.

Appealing particularly to youths and grassroots stakeholders, the group called for patience and cooperation as the Tinubu administration pushes forward with its Renewed Hope Agenda. It emphasized that meaningful national transformation requires “endurance, collective sacrifice, and unwavering belief in the leadership steering the ship of state.”

The statement emphasised a message of optimism, asserting that a more secure and prosperous Nigeria “is already taking shape.”

The G37 urged all Nigerians to remain united and committed to the greater vision of national advancement.
