Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Delta state, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, has felicitated with the Orodje of Okpe kingdom, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Major General (rtd) Felix Mujakperuo Orhue 1, on his ascension to the throne of his fathers 16 years ago.
The former minister of state for education, on Friday July 29, 2022, in a statement by his Personal Assistant, Temitope Temiloluwa, wished the Orodje, who doubles as the chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council many more years of fruitful reign in good health.
Gbagi, who has played major advocacy roles for traditional rulers to be given constitutional roles, called on the king to use his office as the Chief Security Officer of his domain to foster unity, peace fairness, equity and justice.
He said, “I join the people of Delta state to congratulate His Royal Majesty on the 16th anniversary of his assumption of the royal office.
“His Royal Majesty as the Chief Security Officer in your domain, I use this rare opportunity to call on you to uphold the principle of fairness, equity and justice as you have always been known for as you make more proactive measures to strengthen communal peace and security in your area.
“On behalf of my family, the Social Democratic Party and the entire state, I profoundly appreciate your personal sacrifices and contributions to growth and security in your dominion.
“I pray the Almighty God to grant His Royal Majesty long life and good health on the throne of his forebears while urging him to continue to be that unifier and nationalist who works with other patriots to strengthen the unity of the state and the country through his own efforts and advocacy as a great monarch” the statement added.
