Leading Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant in Delta dtate, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, has commiserated with families of both the dead and injured victims of the collapsed storey- building housing the Salvation Ministries and other tenants at Okpanam, Oshimili North local government area of Delta state.

Gbagi in statement, Wednesday, also commended the Delta state government for its prompt response to the incident, rescue operation and setting up a panel of inquiry to unravel the immediate and remote causes of the collapse with a view to preventing such disaster in future.

“It is so sad that this incident claimed precious lives of innocent worshippers and injured scores of others.

“This was certainly an avoidable occurrence and the more reason relevant state and federal authorities should urgently launch an investigation to unearth the mechanical, environmental and human factors responsible for the incident.

“I believe such investigation will help us to guide against this unnecessary waste of lives, injuries and damage to property in the future.

“My heart goes out to all the victims, the Christian community and the entire people of the state,” Gbagi said.
