In keeping with his avowed commitment to always empower and reach out to the less privileged in society, governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, has once again doled out scholarship to 22 students across the state.

The former minister of state for education who was in Okpe local government area on Thursday, in continuation of his LGA campaign, was thrilled to wonderful dance steps by a troop of 12 young female dancers at Baptist Grammar School in Orerokpe.

“Look at these my little children, look at the talents they exhibited. SDP as I have been told, all these 12 children, SDP has granted them scholarship to the university level.

“With what we saw of these children, if these children go to the university, they will become the musical industry in Africa.

“We have identified these 12 children, whichever school they are going, the Gbagi foundation will deposit money to start them up”, he declared.

Speaking on the sorry state of the oil-rich Delta state, Gbagi <span;>asked<span;>: “Are you people not tired of the deception of PDP?

“That is why I have chested out to say we must do this one successfully.

“And if all of you here vote for SDP, we have won. We have said that all the pensioners, teachers that were not promoted, gratuities that were not paid, the SDP government will pay them and promote the teachers.

“Nothing has changed in Okpe. No factory, no industry. How are we going to employ all these youths?

“People with university degrees are at home, still being taken care of by their parents, that is not the plan”, he lamented.

Continuing, he said: “SDP has come to liberate Delta State from curse, setback and to take the State back to industrialization. The least I will do in my first year in office, is to put a company in Okpe and I will establish a mega industry in every local government in my first year.

“We will make every local government autonomous with regards to business and industries so we don’t travel far to get what we want”, he assured.

Similarly, Gbagi, who stormed a meeting of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Warri south local government area, gave 10 pupils scholarships to the University level.

“The same reason why SDP that produced the freest and fairest election in Delta State with Olorogun Felix Ibru, <span;><span;>as <span;>our governor, declared a free education.

“By the grace of God, SDP, on assuming office on May 29, 2023, we will declare free education”, he said.
