President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the recruitment of 10,000 Nigerians across the 36 states of the federation and Abuja.
Buhari Sallau, a personal assistant to the president disclosed this on Wednesday, December 29, in a post shared on Facebook.
According to him, ten people have been selected from each of the 774 local government areas in the country, adding that the exercise would take place across the country.
Sallau went on to note that shortlisted candidates have already been notified via email addresses used during the application.
According to Legit.ng, with the ongoing plan by the federal government to increase the capacity of personnel in the Nigeria Police Force, the ongoing recruitment in the force has moved to a new phase.
In a related development, the police force said that it began medical screening on Tuesday, November 23, for successful candidates in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the ongoing 2020 recruitment of Constables into the Force.
The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Frank Mba, said this in a statement in Abuja on Friday, November 19.
He said the medical screening was the next stage of the recruitment process and would hold from Tuesday, November 23 to Monday, December 6.
Mba said the exercise would be conducted by the Nigeria Police Medical Services between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily at the designated police clinics and hospitals in the 17 police zonal commands across the country.
