President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on Saturday, voted at 9:35 am at Unit 085, Ward 03, Alausa, Ikeja, amid tight security in the Governorship and National Assembly elections.
Tinubu was accompanied by his wife, Sen. Oluremi and the Lagos Market leader, Chief Folashade Ojo.
Mr Dele Alake, Tinubu’s Media Spokesman, told newsmen after his principal voted that the president-elect would not be able to grant interviews till later in the evening.
But in a tweet via his Twitter handle after voting, Tinubu encouraged electorates to go out and cast their vote peacefully.
He tweeted, “I just joined other Nigerians in exercising my civic duty in the ongoing governorship and state assembly elections.
“I encourage you all to go out and vote peacefully.”
