How much of Fr. Mbaka do you know? Read this article to know the man Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka and his net worth

By Gladys Ekwu

Revd. Father Ejike Camillus Anthony Ebenezer Mbaka, popularly known as Fr. Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) was the only son of his parents, late Chief Humphrey Ogbuefi and Felicia Mbaka in Amata-ituku in Awgu LGA, of Enugu State.

He was ordained a priest on July 29, 1995 in Enugu Dioceses after he graduated from Wisdom Seminary Owerri and St. Joseph’s Ikot-Ekpene respectively where he was trained and nurtured to priesthood.

Before then, he had his Secondary School education at St. Vincent’s Secondary School, Agbogugu in Awgu LGA of Enugu State.

Fr. Mbaka as a boy, assisted his father in the business of palm-wine tapping which made his father to believe that he would succeed him in the family business until Mbaka declared his interest to be a priest.

As a young boy, Mbaka was deeply involved in the revival of a Charismatic group in St. Anthony’ s parish Ituku community where he led a the prayer warrior team.

Though his father who was a pagan was not against his zeal for God, he was totally against his wish of becoming a Catholic priest because he was his only son.

Fr. Mbaka then at St. Anthony’ s parish, Ituku was known for organizing Block Rosary Prayers where he usually assumed the role of Franscisco (One of the three children visited by blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima in Portugal in 1917.

His father Pa Ogbuefi and his kinsmen did not only detest his idea of becoming a priest, but also persecuted him over his ambition.

After he was ordained in 1995 as a priest against his father’s wish, Mbaka was first posted to the Holy Ghost Cathedral, the headquarters of Catholic Church in Enugu Dioceses as the Assistant Diocesan Administrator. In his quest to reach out to more souls outside the cathedral, he decided to embark on evangelical mission.

This led to him moving to Capuchin and GTC Enugu where he celebrated masses for the congregation, and also thought of the idea of creating ‘The Word Prayer Centre of the Eucharistic Jesus) which he later changed the name to ‘Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, AMEN )

Since then, he has been known as a Man of God whom God uses to do miracles, signs and wonders. He prays for his people who come to his ministry as well as politicians and prophesy about their political careers which normally come to pass.

His prophesy led to Alhaji Mohammadu Buhari becoming the president of Nigeria and Governor Hope Uzodimma becoming the governor of Imo State which has raised many dusts in the nation.

It would be recalled that he also told Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State that he would lose his further political contests for refusing to call the amount he donated at the adoration ground sometime ago.

Mbaka has received many awards which one of them was an award he received in Washington DC in 2018 at United States Congress. The award was for his outstanding humanitarian service and awareness in education which was presented to him through a Congress woman, Karen Bass.

He is one of the richest clerics in Nigeria. According to a report from Punch NG. Com, Mbaka spends an average of $2 million (N734 million) monthly on charity.

His sources of income include donations from politicians and other members of his ministry.

The report said that he has an estimated net worth of $20 million.
