Two cart pushers have died following a heated altercation over N200 in Aba on Tuesday.
According to an eye-witness, cart pushers had on Tuesday morning engaged themselves in a brawl over who should convey some goods bought by a trader at Cemetery Market in Aba, Abia.
The fight became brutal after the two got harmful weapons as they fight over N200 who will convey the goods and get N200 as payment.
As the fight raged, people intervened.
However, the duo disregarded the requests of the owner of the goods and different people to settle the matter.
Eyewitnesses were left in shock when one of the cart pushers stabbed the other in the abdomen, neck and other parts of his body.
This resulted in the death of the man.
When the suspect saw that the other cart pusher had died, he made to run away but a mob descended on him and beat him to death.
Confirming the sad incident on Wednesday, Abia state’s police command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Aba that the Police has removed the bodies of the dead cart pushers to the mortuary.
he went on to warn the citizens of the state to desist from taking laws into their hands when they have problems with others.
