Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu who killed Super TV CEO, Michael Usifo Ataga is pleading for forgiveness. She told journalists in Lagos that she regretted her actions but she should not be killed.
In het direct words, she said: “I regret killing Ataga. I don’t know what my future holds but I dont want to die. Please, I dont want to die because of this case. I totally regret everything I did and I’m sorry.
“Mr. Ataga’s family, I’m deeply sorry for what I did. If I had my life back, I would not do anything like that. I’m deeply sorry and I hope you forgive me.”
Chidinma broke the internet and the social media on Thursday when her interview with journalists in Lagos went viral on the social media. She was reported to have killed the chief executive officer of the Super TV, Ataga, after a sexual escapades that went wrong.
Nigerians have given different opinions after the interview broke the internet. Some accused Ataga of being flirtatious and abandoning his wife, Brenda, for a 21-year-old damsel. Others blame Chidinma for killing a supposed sugar daddy.
Knowing what may become her fate when the case eventually gets to court, she is pleading for forgiveness, saying she regretted her action and that she would not do such again if given a second chance. She is also pleading with the family of Ataga to temper justice with mercy.
