A People’s Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain in Delta State and Ughelli North chairmanship aspirant, Olorogun Udu Omo Scott, has congratulated the former governor of Delta state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, on his 62nd birthday describing him as a pragmatic leader .
Scott described the former governor as a selfless leader who transformed Delta State without tribal sentiments. He said Chief Ibori served Delta people with the whole of his heart to the admiration of all.
“I am happy to celebrate a leader who without sentiments transformed Delta State. Cheif Ibori is a lover of peace, an embodiment of humility. I must commend him for supporting power rotation amongst the various senatorial districts in Delta state,” Scott said.
He said: “Ibori’s sterling and courageous disposition to national politics are what have endeared him to power across Nigeria. During his administration as governor of Delta state, Chief Ibori’s determination and love for the people made him to have unprecedented achievements which we are appreciating today.”
Speaking further, Scott said lives affected by Ibori are uncountable in Delta state and Nigeria.
He added: “God has used the former governor to touch many lives and we will continue to pray for him. The truth is that Chief Ibori can never be forgotten in the history of Delta state.”
