The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Edo/Delta Chapter, has once again demonstrated its commitment to professional excellence by hosting a highly impactful virtual training titled “Revolutionizing Corporate Report Writing: Harnessing AI for Secretaries and Administrators.”
The webinar, held recently, attracted a diverse group of corporate professionals eager to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming corporate governance, administrative efficiency, and the future of report writing.
In her opening remarks, Mrs. Funmi Ekundayo, FCIS, President and Chairman of the ICSAN Governing Council, emphasized the relevance of AI across disciplines, urging Chartered Secretaries not to be left behind. She highlighted the importance of embracing AI tools to improve productivity and remain competitive in the ever-evolving corporate landscape.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairperson of the Edo/Delta Chapter, Barr. Agatha Nwanji, stressed the increasing demand for accurate and timely corporate reporting in today’s fast-paced environment. She noted that traditional methods are time-consuming, whereas AI offers a transformative approach—streamlining processes, saving resources, and allowing professionals to focus on more strategic tasks.
A key highlight of the training was a masterclass on AI-Driven Corporate Excellence delivered by Mr. Yomi Adebanjo, a seasoned expert in corporate secretarial practice. Through real-world case studies, interactive demos, and hands-on exercises, Mr. Adebanjo provided participants with deep insights into how AI is revolutionizing report writing, data analysis, and decision-making.
The training also explored the broader application of AI in key secretarial functions such as compliance, board meetings and reporting, strategic development, project management, and board support.
