To the average person, the ongoing brouhaha in Idumuje Ugboko is about Hon Ned Nwoko and Prince Nonso NWOKO, including a land tussle. Well, we can now reveal that it is much more than that.
If the only problem were to be between Hon Ned Nwoko and The Prince of his land, it would have been a long forgotten matter by now, considering the many outside interests that waded into the matter.
For the records, Anioma traditional rulers waded in and made all frantic efforts to resolve the matter but to no avail. Why? Because, the interest in the matter goes beyond what the ordinary eyes and ears have known.
Aniocha traditional rulers council also intervened and yet, nothing happened.
Forget about the story that it is about land. In truth, there shouldn’t be any reason to fight over a land that was genuinely given out by the late King of the community.
According to the Iyase of the community, Chief Chris Ogwu, the parcel of land duly given to Hon Ned Nwoko by the late King cannot be the real reason the community is boiling now.
Armed with this revelation, our undercover reporters went to work and in the course of it, it was revealed that the present crisis in the once peaceful Idumuje Ugboko is about money power.
It was discovered that the involvement in the case of the two most foremost sons of the community is the reason for the unending crisis that has defied all external concerns for solution.
Hon Ned Nwoko, though being the person directly involved in the land tussle has done everything possible to see that the matter was resolved but Prince Nonso with the backing of Chief Gabriel Ogbechie has refused all entreaties for peace.
Our investigation has shown that the involvement of Chief Ogbechie in the criss has only helped to flare it up. He is said to be the financier of the palace. Our undercover reporters gathered that his alleged interest to becoming the Iyase of the community is the reason he is reportedly putting everything into it.
Some months ago, one of those involved in the crisis was reported to have openly made it clear that Chief Ogbechie is allegedly behind them. It does not end there.
Our investigation has also showed that Chief Ogbechie had reportedly hired one Azuka Molokwu based in Canada to handle all social media war for the palace against Ned Nwoko.
It was gathered that between February and May, a Nigerian number traced to Chief Ogbechie contacted a number belonging to the said Azuka Molokwu for more than 100 times, all in the bid to keep heating up the community.
Reacting to a voice note interview that trended online, our team led by the publisher of Anioma Voice traced and tracked one Asia Eze, a supposed security aide to Hon Ned Nwoko in order to get clarification to some of the damning revelations allegedly made by him in the said interview with Azuka Molokwu.
Responding, Mr Asia Eze, though admitted receiving a call from one Azuka, denied ever saying the things contained in the interview.
He insisted that he never could have said the things in the interview as he is not an ingrate.
The impression given was that his voice was cloned in the interview. Our team is yet to hear Mr Azuka’s own side of the story but from what Mr Asia stated, his encounter with Azuka was not friendly to warrant him granting a recorded interview.
