Former Executive Secretary of the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta state, Chief Andy Osawota, has dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was gathered that the political heavyweight has pitched tent with Deputy Senate President and Delta APC governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
Credible sources in Osawota’s camp revealed to reporters that he was at the GRA Effurun residence of Senator Omo-Agege late Thursday to formally inform him of his decision.
Others said to be in attendance to receive Osawota included Omo-Agege’s running mate, Friday Osanebi as well as Delta APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie.
