The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Olorogun Jaro Egbo as the chairman of the screening committee for National Assembly aspirants in Kogi state.
Olorogun Egbo, who recently joined PDP from the APC, is a grassroot politician from Ughelli in Delta state.
He was appointed alongside Moses Ede as secretary of the committee while Anthony Bamidele Ojo Esq., James Dogu Esq. and Ben Dzoho will serve as committee members.
Olorogun Egbo, who is the leader Hivoltage Political Movement in Delta, was recommended for the appointment by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Governor Okowa is said to be impressed with the huge grassroot following of Egbo, who recently moved to the PDP with thousands of his supporters during the PDP Hivoltage mega rally held at the Ughelli City Stadium.
The PDP chieftain is a strong force to be reckoned with in the politics of Delta where he had held sensitive positions in the past.
