Three persons were on Friday evening, November 5, confirmed dead after unknown gunmen opened fire on passersby in Imo sptate.
According to reports, the shooting took place around 7.50 pm at Neokeisima junction Umulogho in Obowo local government area of the state.
It was gathered that the shooters who operated in around three vehicles additionally burnt no fewer than 10 motorcycles and wounded an undisclosed number of people.
The shooting caused pandemonium as residents and passersby scampered for safety.
Speaking about the sad incident, an eyewitness said the assailants immediately zoomed to Umuahia in Abia state in the car while the victims were soaked with blood.
When the spokesperson of the State Police Command, CSP Michael Abattam was contacted, he stated that the police was yet to get the report of the incident and will investigate the incident soon.
