JUST IN: Tragedy in Rivers, three policemen beheaded as unknown gunmen attack police station

Tragedy weekend hit a police station in Elimgbu in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers state as unknown gunmen made onslaught upon the station and three policemen were confirmed beheaded.
News reaching us revealed that one of the officers who was beheaded had his gun whisked away by the gunmen.
This assail transpired barely one month after armed men killed five soldiers, three customs officers and some police officers at different security points in Abua/Odual and Ikwerre local government area of the state.
The police are yet to release any official statement to confirm this massacres, the incidents were confirmed to Channels Television by a youth leader in the local government area and residents of the communities
Meanwhile, on Friday night an attack was set in motion at a police station in Rumuji community, Emohua LGA, and a police checkpoint, known as C4i at the entrance of Emohua from Port Harcourt.
Emohua is a local government area along the East-West road, connecting Rivers and Bayelsa states.
Reacting to the consecutive mishap in the state, Governor Nyesom Wike resorted to imposing a nighttime curfew at various entry and exit points of Rivers State between 8 pm and 6 am, and restriction of movement within the state from 10 pm to 6 am.
