Gbagi jubilates with Archbishop Avwomakpa on His Birthday
The gubernatorial flag bearer of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi FNIM, OON has on Friday 21st, celebrated with the founder of Christ Missionaries Crusaders Church, Archbishop God-dowell Avwomakpa as he clocks a new year.
Gbagi joined the Warri-based end-time preacher, friends and associates in celebrating with bishop Avwomakpa on the milestone through a press statement signed by his press secretary.
He detailed the contributions of the Archbishop to state-wide discourse and prayed that the Almighty God would grant the cleric longer life, good health and strength.
Gbagi described the septuagenarian as a remarkable public intellectual and formidable advocate for good governance whose contributions to Delta’s growth are immeasurable and unquantifiable.
According to the former chairman, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, “the man of God has never hesitated to speak out on Delta’s ills and criticize our leaders when they derail from the responsibility of providing good governance and deepening our democracy.
Gbagi went ahead to describe the renowned minister as a voice of conscience, acknowledging his contributions to development and progress in the over five decades of pastoral work and his evangelical exploits.
He lauded Avwomakpa’s sense of devotion, duty and compassion as a voice of conscience in Delta and Nigeria, at large, adding that the State owes him a debt of gratitude for his many years of service.
”My Lord Bishop, your life has been one of devotion and duty to God and humanity. As such, your life speaks of humility and compassion”, Gbagi said.
