American Singer Kanye West has failed to persuade his estranged wife Kim Kardashian and his last ditch effort to get her back seemingly went in vain as the American TV personality and socialite totally shunned him files to officially cut off from him.
Kim filed to change her marital status amid her on-going divorce from Kanye “Ye” West on Friday, Dec. 10.
TMZ reported that, the documents state that Kim wants to become legally single while she and the rapper continue to iron out details pertaining to child custody and property division.
Additionally,the mother of four wants to drop the surname West and revert to her maiden name.
Kim initially filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” on Feb. 19. She requested joint legal and physical of their four children, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
The duo seemed to be making progress on their separation, with Kim buying their shared Hidden Hills, Calif. home for $23 million in October. However, by November, Kanye was saying that he still considers her his “wife,” remarking on Revolt TV’s Drink Champs that there “ain’t no paperwork” stating otherwise.
He added, “I ain’t never even seen the papers, we’re not even divorced… That ain’t no joke to me. My kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to be together.”
Unequivocally,Kanye isn’t ready to give up on his marriage but Kim has started dating Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson.
Kanye pulled out all the stops to win back Kim. At his “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert, he pleaded during his performance of the song ‘Runaway,’ “I need you to run right back to me. More specifically, Kimberly.”
Numerous members of the Kardashian-Jenner family were in the audience, but it seems his declaration of love didn’t pan out the way he hoped, as Kim filed to be legally single the next morning.
