A young man of about 25 years old, Ikechukwu Okeke has reportedly slumped and died in Orlu, Orlu local government area of Imo state in the process of engaging in drinking competition with his friend.
An eye witness revealed to Emerald News that a friend of the two competitors bought two cartons of Gulder and agreed that anyone that could finish each carton would win the sum of five thousand naira.
According to our source, immediately Ikechukwu Okeke slumped and breathe no more, the other two young men took to their heels and ran away.
The source added that shortly after, people around reported the incident to the police, group of boys believed to be cult boys clad in black attire up and down came out in large number singing and dancing.
An eye witness said that policemen who came to the scene quietly left with their vehicle.
Emerald News gathered that the group of boys carried the boy’s corpse and were fearlessly running around the town.
