A woman (name withheld) who went to buy food items in her customers shop in Asaba has reportedly got angry in the process of conversation and took a knife the woman was using to cut ice fish and stabbed her hand.
An eye witness said problem started when the owner of the shop was chatting with her while cutting fish for her.
She told the woman that came to buy food items that she doesn’t have much problem of feeding as it is only she and her husband that eat at home.
Our source said that the woman whom she was talking to angrily snatched the knife from her and stabbed her hand.
It was gathered that the shop owner’ s right hand instantly started gushing out blood while she was crying and explaining to her customer that she did not mean to mock her barrenness.
An eye witness said that the woman that stabbed her customer did not agree to her explanation, claiming that she was mocking her for being childless.
An eye witness said the people around gathered to the scene, some were blaming the shop owner for making such statement knowing that her customer has married for fifteen years without a child, others blamed the other woman for stabbing the shop owner.
