media entrepreneur, Sunday Onyewonsa, has congratulated the Mayor of Urhoboland, and former warlord, Eshanakpe Israel a.k.a Akpodoro, on his 48th year anniversary, describing him as a work in progress for God and a model of statesmanship.

This was made known in a statement issued in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, Tuesday.

The Delta-born journalist noted that Mayor Akpodoro is a quintessential character whose life is worthy of emulation, noting that the celebrant’s life defines resilience, patience, humility, loyalty and patriotism to his fatherland.

He pointedly stated that the Mayor has trudged through life in a manner that none of his contemporaries could rival saying but for the grace and mercy of the living God upon the Gberegolor Ughelli South born ex-militant leader who has succeeded where many failed, his journey would have been stunted.

Providence, Onyewonsa stated, has kept the Mayor breaking bars of impossibilities in a nation where predators dominate, adding that has trampled upon scorpions and lions with zero harm done to him rather he rises from the ashes of the challenges against him in such a way that only his creator understands.

At 48, Mayor Akpodoro, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Republic Multi-Concept Communications Ltd maintained, is a household name in the Niger Delta region in particular and Nigeria in general owing to his vociferous nature and deep understanding of the Nigerian political terrain while he ekes out his living in his private life without fear or trepidation.

Akpodoro is one of the most envied but generally accepted by his people who see in him as the Elijah of his generation as he dines with kings in the corridor of power.

“My dearest friend and brother from another mother, the hero of Urhobo nation, you are a combination of business and political sense with unrivalled native sense of humility that your people are noted for, positive energies, can do spirit: I greet you today as the heavens added one more glorious year to you.

“Happy birthday to you son of David, your family and friends. May you expand and multiply while you climb from heights to heights, May the sky not limit you. I Wish You long-life and prosperity. Like the phoenix, Mayor Akpodoro, you shall rise above the sky of the evil ones.

“I won’t be tired to congratulate that man who axiphiated the renewed insurgency in our region, the man who has been building peace and tranquility in the Delta, that man who has defeated the insurrection of the wicked against our nation, is worthy of my celebration today.

“As the entire congregates and felicitate with you today, may the heavens celebrate and thrust you up above every challenges across your paths. Once again, Happy Birthday to a great mind,” the statement reads.
