Leading governorship aspirant in Delta state, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, has assured that 50% of his State Executive Council (SEC) members would comprise women as commissioners when elected governor come 2023.
Gbagi stated this on Sunday 27th March 2022 while celebrating mothers, women and young ladies during the 2022 Mother’s Day.
Gbagi, a trained Criminologist, asserted that he belongs to the school of thought that what the man can do, the woman could likewise do.
He charged mothers and ladies to get involved in the electioneering process particularly in the decision making as to who becomes their governor come 2023.
The philanthropist cum industrialist, called on Deltans particularly women not to allow disgruntled individuals, people with questionable character that cannot be entrusted with our common patrimony to govern the state.
Hear him: “I wish all mothers, women and young ladies a happy wonderful and prosperous Mother’s Day 2022.
“It is with such enormity of joy, me being a product of a mother as well, that I certify that by the grace of God, I will appoint 50% of my commissioners as women.
“My philosophy in life is that what a man can do, a woman can do as well.
“Mothers and ladies please get involved in the decision making of who governs you, because it is the apathy of good people like you who are our mothers that keep lunatics, thugs, criminals, looters of our treasuries, bad uneducated persons and persons without character in government.
“We must remove all our children in Delta from the streets for gainful employment, progress and prosperity as you wished when you gave birth to these children after nine months of hard pregnancy period”.
