The National Sports Festival which officially kicked off two weeks ago, at Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba, has finally come to an end, on Saturday, 10 December, 2022, with Delta state emerging as the winner of the 21st National Sports Festival.
As maintained by News Agency of Nigeria, Delta won 320 gold, 200 silver, and 128 bronze medals to edge 35 other states and the Federal Capital Territory, to stay atop the Nigerian apex sports fiesta.
Prince Ned Nwoko, a sport enthusiast and the chancellor of Sports University, Idumuje Ugboko, Delta state, and also the Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, was live at the 2022 National Sports Festival grand finale, in Stephen Keshi stadium, with his beautiful actress wife, Mrs Regina Daniels Nwoko, to support Team Delta. Both husband and wife looked dazzling and sporty in their Team Delta outfit.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented by the Minister of Sports, Sunday Akin Dare, commended Prince Ned Nwoko, for his huge investments in the development of Sports with the establishment of the Sports University in his hometown, Idumuje Ugboko.
