Top officers from the Central Naval Command led by the Flag Officer Commanding Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Obinwanne Egbuchulam and His Royal Majesty, King Bubaraye Dakolo, Agada IV, Ibenanaowei of Ekpetiama Kingdom are set to attend the annual public lecture of the Federated Correspondents’ Chapel, FCC of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Bayelsa State Council.
The lecture series, which is in its 8th year, is titled, “Maritime Security: Implications for Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Industry” and slated for Thursday October 7th 2021 at the Conference Hall of Matho Crystal Hotel, Yenagoa, along Edepie-Imiringi Road.
The organisers of the Public lecture series, in a statement signed by the Chairman, Lecture Planning Committee, Comrade Samuel Ese of the Business day Newspapers, the event will be chaired by His Royal Majesty, King Bubaraye Dakolo, Agada IV, Ibenanaowei of Ekpetiama Kingdom.
According to the statement, the guest lecturer at the event will be the Flag Officer Commanding Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Obinwanne Egbuchulam.
According to Comrade Ese, “The lecture will discuss among others, issues concerning security in the Niger Delta region, the oil and gas industry and security in the maritime domain.”
“Expected to grace the event are key players from the nation’s oil and gas industry, the maritime industry, captains of industry and security chiefs.”
“Also expected are members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, stakeholders from the backwaters of the delta, members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and the general public.”
