coalition of eleven militant groups from the nine states of the Niger Delta region have advised the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio to call off the stakeholders’ meeting on the recent agitations and protests for the immediate constitution of a substantive board for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The militant groups said there is not going back on the seven days ultimatum handed by the foremost ex-militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemukpolo also known as Tompolo.

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio through the Permanent Secretary, initiated frantic moves to stop the leader of Niger–Delta agitators, Government Ekpemukpolo, alias Tompolo, from fulfilling his threat of a catastrophe in the oil region if the government did not inaugurate the substantive board of the interventionist agency by June 6.

Reacting through a statement issued via electronic mail, the self-styled Major General AGADAGBA 1 also known as Thunderstorm, leader of the Supreme Egbesu Freedom Fighters and other militant groups, advised Senator Akpabio to call off the meeting as it will not stop any action put in place to shut down oil exploration activities in the region in line with the seven days ultimatum handed down by Tompolo.

“In line with the subsisting ultimatum, we have vowed to shut down oil flow stations and most of the Major NNPC Shell and Chevron oil pipelines in the creek within the expiration of the one week ultimatum that is declared by our most respected GOC Government Ekpomupolo AKA Tompolo.

The group said l the presidency is in connivance with Mr. Akpabio and his cronies and have refused to inaugurate the NDDC board for over two years in the name of a fake, stage managed and unending forensic audit which is just a mere fraudulent slogan created by Akpabio to deceive the presidency as a ploy to divert billions of funds and deprive the other oil producing states and ethnic nationalities not to be represented in the board of the commission.

“We have resolved in the creek that there is no going back on the proposed ultimatum to resume fresh hostilities in the creek to shut down oil flow stations and to bring down crude oil production to zero level, if the presidency refuses to yield to the outcry of the general populace of Niger Delta various ethnic nationalities with the traditional rulers of the region, the elder statesmen, the south-south governors with some well-meaning bishoprics and highly respected men of God with the agitating militant groups in the creek from the region who have been lending there voice calling on the federal government to inaugurate the NDDC board for over two years.

The group said in the midst of all the calls, Akpabio and his minded cronies have been the brain behind why the board has not been inaugurated up till this day.

“And we want to warn seriously, without mincing words, that the Supreme Egbesu Freedom Fighters Militant Group is aware of the ongoing arrangement by the Minister Niger Delta Affairs Mr Akpabio with some corrupt minded and non-existing youth bodies called Niger Delta Ethnic Youth Council that is not on ground have the temerity to bring out their heads to even speak on behalf of the above multi-million Niger Delta youths.

They have been bought over by the peanut of Akpabio to have a meeting in order to go against the protest organized by the IYC president the person of Comrade Timothy Igbifa and its affiliate, zonal IYC structures across the entire South-South States.

“With the information available before us and all parts of the creeks of the region, one Mr. Terry and his group of organized ethnic youth council with some other stakeholders have been scheduled to have a meeting with the minister of Niger Delta Affairs in Abuja to be bribed and bought over to stand against the protesting ijaw youths that is calling for the inauguration of the NDDC board”.

The militant group reiterate the call on President Muhammad Buhari to shun divisive tendencies of Minister Godswill Akpabio to immediately inaugurate of the substantive NDDC board without further delay for the interest of peace and economic stability in the region and the country at large before the expiration of the above one week ultimatum declared by Tompolo the GOC of Niger Delta struggle.

“We the supreme Egbesu Freedom Fighters Militant Groups in alliance with other agitating militant groups across the nine states of the region have already followed suite in line with the Tompolo one week declaration and there is no going back until Akpabio removes hands and stay clear from opposing the inauguration of the NDDC board.”
