Host Communities in the Niger Delta region have rated high the Tantita Security Pipeline Surveillance Company and the management of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) over the improved security of the nation’s oil and gas assets and the significant increase in the nation’s oil production up to 1.8 million barrels per day.
The host communities, under the aegis of the Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria (HOSTCONYCN), also passed a vote of confidence on TANTITA SECURITY SERVICES NIGERIA LIMITED under the leadership of High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemeupolo, also known as TOMPOLO and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, (NUPRC) under the Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Gbenga Komolafe.
The Host Communities, Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria (HOSTCONYCN) led by the President , EMMANUEL FIAWEI PATHFINDER, during a media interactive session in Abuja, said the leadership of the Host communities producing oil gas and pipeline thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-awarding the Tantita Security Pipeline Surveillance Contract to secure the nation’s oil and gas assets.
According to the Host Communities, “The Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria (HOSTCONYCN) was established to uphold, preserve, promote and give life to the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).”
“The Council’s membership includes; Ex-Niger Delta Agitators, Environmental Experts and Socio-Economic Advocacy Lawyers, Defenders of Host Communities Rights, Young Intellectuals, Civil Society Organizations and media personnel from the Oil and Gas producing Communities and pipeline impacted states.”
“Our goal is to engage with necessary authorities on the best way forward for the Oil and Gas Producing Communities and advocate for the proper implementation of the 3% Petroleum Industry Act, PIA, as regards to the Host Communities’ Development Trust Fund (HCDTF) for the sake of Equal Rights, Justice, Fairness, and Inclusiveness.”
