The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), a major political party in Nigeria, has announced the completion of its local government primary elections in Anambra State, where it selected candidates for both chairmanship and councillorship positions ahead of upcoming council polls.
In a statement released on Monday in Awka, the party reminded those contesting councillorship seats that February 16, 2026 is the final deadline for filing any appeals related to the conduct of the primaries.
All appeal submissions must be lodged at APGA’s regional office in Awka for review and resolution.
APGA also advised aspiring councillors not to purchase bank drafts for nomination forms until the official list of cleared candidates is published later in the day.
The party urged all participants and stakeholders to respect the set deadlines and procedures, stressing that adherence is vital for the orderly progression of the nomination process.
