An online poll conducted by 1worldonline.com has revealed that Nigerians, in unity, condemned the fraudulent activities of Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Ramon Abass, also known as Hushpuppi.
According to Dubai police in the United Arabs Emirate, Hushpuppi is an internet fraudster who has defrauded over 1,926,400 people worldwide to the tune of N168billion in cash.
As at 11pm on Thursday, the poll conducted by the website showed 74 percent voters calling for severe punishment to be meted on him while 13 percent said No with 14 percent showing no interest in whether he should be punished or not.
He was arrested with other 12 members of his gang in cybercrime against over one million people around the world. 13 luxury cars were said to have been discovered with him, estimated at N3.7billion. These were discovered in the house where they arrested in Dubai.
He was arrested on multiple charges of crime, he was always seen on the social media flaunting his ill-gotten wealth to Nigerians and other people of the world.
The police officers were also able to seize items worth 150 million Dirham after they claimed 21 laptops, 47 smartphones, 15 storage devices, and five hard disk containing data.
Other seized assets from Hushpuppi, according to Africa Facts Zone include $250,000 Richard Millie RM-11-03 watch, $330,000 2020 Rolls Royce Cullinan, $327,000 2019 Rolls Royce Wraith, $190,000 Bentley Bentayga, $250,000 Ferrari 458 Italia, $200,000 2018 Mercedes Maybach S650 and many more.
