Following the call by the senate for the sack of Nigeria’s service chief’s, Legit TV went to town in Abuja to sought views of Nigerians on the call for the sack of the heads of Nigeria armed forces.
The call for the sack is hinged on the growing insecurity in the nation. The call was made on December 1, 2020 on the floor of the senate. Many Nigerians agreed that the service chiefs are no more needed and it’s time for them to go.
99 percent of those spoken to agreed that the service chiefs should go for new blood with new ideas should be brought in. Some said they have done their best and it’s the to give space for new ones to come in.
A Northerner bluntly told the online TV that President Buhari has disappointed the Northerners. “I’m from the North. We expect him to do more than this as a retired general.
“No security in the North, no security in Maiduguri, no security in North West, no security in North Central, it’s a shame to him,” he said without mentioning his name.
He added: “Now we can see that former President Goodluck Jonathan was a messiah. He did excellently well. Then, it was only Maiduguri but now it’s all over the Northern states. How I wish Jonathan can come back, we will vote for him.”
