Contrarily to what is being rumoured about the legal-consultant-cum-politician, Prince Ned Nwoko, the present Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, being at loggerheads with his community people. Nwoko was, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, caught on camera, with massive crowd, hailing and singing his praises as he attended the 80th birthday anniversary of one of his kinsmen, Chief Moses Chisimdi, at his hometown, Idumuje-Ugboko.
The leading senatorial candidate, who has recently been dubbed a new title, “crowd puller”, attended the event with his beautiful actress wife, Mrs. Regina Daniels-Nwoko, alongside his campaign director, contact and mobilization, Dr. Michael Nwoko, better known as the “Political Oshobe”.
Responding to journalists, Nwoko said he is comfortable with his roots and happy to be at home. He described the celebrant, Chief Chisimdi, as a man of honour, whom he cherishes so much. He pointed out that Chief Chisimdi is his ardent supporter, whose prayers and wise counsel have aided development in their village.
In his words, “I am at home, comfortable with my roots. You can see the large crowd who followed me here to celebrate our chief. I am particularly glad because the celebrant, Chisimdi is not just a highly respected chief of Idumuje -Ugboko kingdom, but also one of my most ardent supporters. He is an elder I cherish so much.
“His prayers and wise counsel have aided our development efforts here in the village, whether as regards the Sports University, my political journey so far and general well being of our people.
“He is a fulfilled man at 80. He is still fit and strong. Only few people enjoy such fortune in this difficult times. God has preserved him for a purpose to serve our community and impact the younger generation with morals and values.
“Chief Chisimdi is an honourable man. He has contributed to the peace and development of our community. He deserves all celebrations. As we rejoice with him, I wish him good health, continued long life and more grace in the years ahead,” Nwoko added.
