The Bayelsa state national campaign council for the upcoming governorship campaign has been announced by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Among the notable members are the Delta state governor, His Excellency Rt.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori, and the Delta North senatorial representative, Senator Ned Munir Nwoko.
Amb. Umar Iliya Damagun, the party’s national chairman, emphasized that the appointment of these council members reflects the extensive support they enjoy within the party’s leadership and among all PDP members. He expressed gratitude for their unwavering support, acknowledging their exemplary qualities and significant contributions to the party’s growth.
The 2023 Bayelsa State gubernatorial election is scheduled for 11 November 2023, where the incumbent PDP Governor, Douye Diri, will be seeking re-election under the same party platform.
