National Chairman of Delta Political Vanguard, DPV, Chief (Evangelist) Michael Diden Ejele has said that the governor of Delta state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has consistently kept promises made to Deltans and urged him not to relent.
Ejele made the assertion in Koko, Warri North local government area of Delta state, on Sunday 1 August, 2021, when the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Communications, Chief Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, had audience with him, at his country home, immediately after the general meeting of DPV.
He said the state had witnessed unprecedented development and will continue to make remarkable progress under Okowa, across the three senatorial districts.
Ejele posited that Delta Political Vanguard as a mega pressure group in the state, is very proud of the good governance strides of incumbent governor which is why the group will, again, partner with Okowa, to ensure that the right individual emerges as his successor in 2023.
He commended the communication skills of Fred Oghenesivbe, describing him as “a notable leader in media and information management, pointing out that DPV is happy to welcome him to the family.
“Let me state it very clear once again that Governor Okowa is a consummate leader and a promise keeper. He is a man of his words, a leader you can trust.
“His good governance and achievements cannot be faulted, and DPV is very proud of his visionary leadership. We remain united for Okowa, we go where Okowa wants us to go and 2023 governorship politics will not be an exception.
“DPV members are allergic to the voice of a stranger. He is our political shepherd and we follow him without questioning his orders.
“As EAC to the Governor, you have so far demonstrated enviable professional skills in the discharge of your responsibilities. You are a correct man, and my advice to you is to be patient and remain focused.
“We are taking DPV to the next level and it gladdens my heart that you are with us to do the needful as we navigate into yet another electioneering period,” Ejele said.
Oghenesivbe thanked Chief Michael Diden, describing him as a political hurricane.
“Sir, you are a political genius and a mega force in grassroots mobilization, as can be seen from the numerous successes of Delta Political Vanguard, in previous elections in the state.
“I thank His Excellency, the governor for not only believing in my pencraft but for developing my professional skills through regular trainings and capacity building programmes.
“DPV is no doubt, the only political pressure group with deep grassroots connections throughout the twenty five local government areas in the state,” Oghenesivbe said.
