From the views of most people within and outside Delta state, Delta is a state that is complex. This position could be true because of the ethnic differences of the people occasioned by language and the quest to have louder voice by those who are endowed with the natural deposit of oil minerals over those perceived to have nothing tangible in terms of natural resources.
Be that as it may, the people have continued to manage these differences, and as such making our politics and lifestyle a unique one.
In a conscious effort to evaluate the Delta Issue and proffer solutions where necessary for the continuity of existence of peace and harmony in the system, The Political Oshobe had continued to engage critical thinking and promotion of his ideals through the media.
The way forward is to anchor on a pedestal that guarantees harmonious political environment and transitions with every senatorial district and ethnic nationality carried along in the scheme of things, especially with regards to political power sharing.
In The Political Oshobe Part 3, standing on a tripod of balancing act with respect to transition of power from a well performed governor to a dependable incumbent and the actionable social capital influence that the only PDP senator-elect will be bringing to bear in advancing the government of MORE Agenda in the state, Dr Michael Nwoko was of the opinion that Delta is now on a trajectory of sustainable good governance.
Dr Michael Nwoko, immediate past Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Health Monitoring and Coordinator of the State Health Monitoring Team, has decided to focus his political craftsmanship on “Governor Okowa’s Smooth Transition of Power, Governor Oborevwori’s Visionary Ideals to Sustain Good Governance and Ned Nwoko’s action plan to attract huge federal oresence to Delta”, to the effect that these combined political force of thinking will bring about melodramatic changes in the system.
Governor Okowa’s Smooth Transition:
Dr Nwoko, having worked with Governor Okowa in the past eight years, perfectly understood the dynamics of the politics that led to his principal’s emergence as governor in 2015, and then his leadership style up until transition to another governor.
The good aspect of this era, according to Dr Nwoko, is that Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa was able to produce and hand over the mantle of governance to his successor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
“This is unprecedented and such political sagacity and deep rooted focused perseverance is worth emulating. I feel proud of my boss, he is indeed a political dynamo.
Against all odds, he produced his successor and went ahead to superintend the best ever smooth transition history has recorded in Delta state”, Nwoko posited.
Governor Oborevwori’s Visionary Ideals:
The emergence of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, immediate past Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly as PDP governorship candidate, is an indication that he is very popular amongst party leaders and members across the state.
Again, as someone who was deeply involved in the politics that brought the current governor to power, Dr Nwoko said “Oborevwori’s governorship is divine and historic”.
Dr. Nwoko fondly called the Political Oshobe due to his mobilization prowess and sagacity was the Deputy Director General of the PDP Campaign Council (Aniocha North LGA) where he worked tirelessly with the LGA team to deliver the PDP at all levels of the elections.
Nwoko said “Oborevwori brings visionary ideas and most acceptable credentials to pilot the affairs of the state; and having promised MORE developments, Deltans should be hopeful of a sustained growth and development.
“Sheriff Oborevwori’s street credibility, no one can take away from him. Of course that was one major kernel of focus in the campaign and it was evidential how his popularity was spreading like wildfire.
This is a man that has affected lives in various dimensions and the people spoke loudly during the election.
“Winning as much as 21 local government areas irrespective of the bitter propaganda that characterised the campaigns and heralded the main election, such will tell you how politically influential Governor Oborevwori is with the grassroots people of Delta state.
He indeed knows what Deltans want and how to go about actualising it for them. This is the time everybody will feel the impact of governance”, he stressed.
Senator-Elect Ned Nwoko’s Action Plan To Attract Huge Federal Presence To Delta:
The Senator-Elect for Delta North Senatorial District and Chancellor of the Sports University of Nigeria (SUN), Idumuje-Ugboko, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko is the hope of Anioma people of Delta state to benefit what is due them at the federal level.
There is no doubt that he will work perfectly well with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to make life better for all. His capacity and social influence can never be in doubt of what he can do for and atract to Delta, having promised them he was going to the Senate for their sake.
In Dr Michael Nwoko’s words, Ned is the future that Delta youths should look up to in terms of helping them achieve their mandate of a secure and promising country.
Of course, being one of the key strategists in the campaign and election stages of Ned Nwoko Campaign Organisation, Dr Nwoko believes that an entity and institution like Ned Nwoko will make a good use of the opportunity of being a Senator to change the narrative of representation.
He said that Ned Nwoko’s membership of the Senate smacks of creative lawmaking, adequate representation and emboldened oversighting of the MDAs, adding that “Ned Nwoko in the Senate is a game changer; Anioma, Delta and Nigeria are fortunate”.
In a nutshell, with this structural combination of Governor Okowa’s Smooth Transition, Oborevwori’s Visionary Ideals and Ned Nwoko’s Action Plan to Attract Huge Federal Presence to Delta; there is no doubt that Deltans should indeed expect some melodramatic changes in the governance of the state.
