A former Commissioner of Finance in Delta State, Olorogun Bernard Okumagba has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for the inclusive and broad-based representation of the nation’s diversity reflected in his initial list of 28-member Ministerial list, which was read on the floor of the Senate on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

In a Press Statement, Olorogun Okumagba, a prominent leader of APC in Delta State, reckoned that President Tinubu who has an established reputation as a bridge builder and true progressive, has brought these remarkable skills and attributes to bear by crossing the aisle in constituting his cabinet thereby renewing the hopes of Nigerians for a more prosperous nation where no one will be left behind.

Olorogun Okumagba therefore extended his hearty congratulations to the Minister-nominees for the confidence placed in them by President Tinubu.

The former Delta State Commissioner of Finance also expressed to the Minister nominees his sincere wishes for success in leading the various ministries that will be assigned to them after the Senate confirmation of their nominations, adding that he is convinced that they will give a strong impetus to the “Nigerian Ideal” agenda of President Tinubu’s commitment to “peace and prosperity of our country through an inclusive national reconciliation process; remarkable focus on confronting insecurity through a reform of the sector; growing the economy; and tackling multi-dimensional poverty, which would boost Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and thereby create a robust middle class that will drive our country’s economic rebound.”

Olorogun Bernard Okumagba assured the new Ministers nominees to count on the support of well-meaning Nigerians as they stay focused in supporting President Tinubu to deliver on his commitment to make Nigeria “a more perfect nation and democracy such that the Nigerian ideal becomes and forever remains the Nigerian reality.”

Olorogun Okumagba thanked the President for bringing on board Mr. Wale Edun, renowned banker, economist, who was a former two-time Commissioner of Finance in Lagos State during the tenure of President Tinubu as Governor of Lagos State; Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, banker, a first-class Accountancy graduate, and former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria; Honorable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, also an accomplished business and management executive with a flourishing career in ICT; and Honorable Stella Okotete who is currently Executive Director Business Development at Nigeria Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) and who worked very hard for the APC both in Delta State and nationally.
