One Year in Office: OFAAC hails Oborevwori for impactful governance

The Organization For the Advancement of Anioma Culture (OFAAC), the culture umbrella of the Anioma people has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for making impact in the lives of Deltans within the past one year.

In a goodwill message on One year anniversary of the Oborevwori administration, the President of OFAAC,Architect Kester Ifeadi ,said the accomplishments of the governor had been vivid and widespread.

Architect Ifeadi said a year since governor Oborevwori initiated M.O.R.E Agenda policy thrust,the government excelled in manpower development and social infrastructure

He noted that the sterling performance of the administration encompassed the three senatorial districts of Delta Central,Delta North and Delta South, in line with Oberevwori ‘s pledge in his inaugural address to serve as governor of all Deltans.

The OFAAC President,said the on going development of mega bridges in Warri and Effurun metropolis through construction giant,Julius Berger,attention to Asaba/Ughelli expressway,Udu Harbour market as well as upgrade of facilities in the four state -owned universities were phenomenal achievements.

He also noted the efforts of the Oborevwori administration in the payment N5 billion Naira promotion arrears to Delta civil servants,N40 billion Naira to local government retirees,recruitment of about 2,000 local government personnel and sundry empowerment programmes.

According to the OFAAC president:

“ The Governor,His Excellency Rt.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori has done very well since he assumed office a year ago.There is a lot to see and celebrate in Delta as regards bridges,roads,schools,markets and so on,either under development or completed.

“Delta is indeed advancing with projects,a true construction site.

“Also the Oborevwori administration has made outstanding efforts in creating employment and wealth in the informal sector,through diverse entrepreneurial programmes for youths.

“Bold strides in maintaining peace and security can be acknowledged in the past one year. The governor proved an uncommon peace maker,managing the social fabric of Delta.The multi -ethnic state is considerably calm and peaceful under his administration.

“One year is not long by human timing.Yet the achievements on ground in Delta so far are monumental

“OFAAC congratulates governor Oborevwori,for the resounding success recorded by his administration since he came to power a year ago.

“We are confident that he would do more for the citizens of the state in the years ahead “ Ifeadi said.
