Pastor William Kumuyi, the general superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry on Wednesday said he could run a relay race today more than he could run when he was 50 years old.
Pastor Kumuyi made the statement when he addressed journalists on arrival at the Benin airport in preparation for the Global Crusade with Kumuyi which is scheduled to hold at Benin City beginning from Thursday October 26 to Tuesday October 31.
He told journalists that the time of rest from the ministry God has given to him has not come. He noted that the vision is getting brighter and clearer, hence it will be unwise to abandon the vision and retire to rest at this critical time.
Though Pastor Kumuyi is 82 years of age, he explained that he is getting more visions and revelations which he cannot abandon but must continue to pursue despite the age that is no longer on his side.
He said: “If you rest when you are not tired, if you rest when your vision is becoming brighter, if you rest when you are seeing farther than you saw 50 years ago, you will not be called a wise man. I’m getting more visions, more unction and getting more anointing, more strength and more power.
“I can run a relay race today more than I could run 50 years ago. When I’m getting tired I will be thinking of retiring but as at now the vision is coming so fast and I’m trying to catch up with what is coming with speed. So, no retirement for now.”
In another development, he called on the global audience who follow him on the social media to keep on following and getting blessed by the word of God. He revealed that everyday, there is a new word of God for them.
