Pastor William Kumuyi, on Wednesday arrived at Benin City, the Edo state capital, preparatory for the Global Crusade with Kumuyi scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 26. The crusade will hold at Garrick Memorial Grammar School in the heart of the ancient city.

Addressing journalists on arrival at the Benin airport, Pastor Kumuyi who was flanked by his pastors from the south south region of Nigeria, told journalists that with the theme of the global crusade, ‘Loose Him and Let Him Go,’ God’s power will be present to loose participants from every challenge bordering their lives.

Answering questions from journalists drawn from various media organisations, Pastor Kumuyi shared a testimony of a lady who was paralysed in the 80s when he visited the city. He explained that the lady cried over her life conditions. But after prayers and as she was alighting from the lorry that took them to her village, she became whole.

He also gave another instance of a woman whose child was bound while worshipping her idol. He advised the woman to surrender her life to Christ, abandon her idol for her son to be healed. According to him, upon surrendering her life to Christ, he prayed for her son and he became whole.

Hear him: “When I came to Edo state sometime in the 80s, there was this woman who was walking on four, legs and hands paralysed. She was brought her from the village. They came to the crusade and I prayed for everyone.

“Many lives were changed. I told this woman you’ve got your miracle. Go back and rejoice, your miracle is going with you.  She was just crying. I assured them that something had happened to her.  They got to the village and as they were getting down from the lorry, others came down.

“As they wanted to help her, the power of God came upon her, she stood up herself and got down from the lorry. All the villagers came down and celebrated that miracle from God.  As I remember that, I thank God that I’m coming at this time.  Greater things are going to take place in this crusade.

“There was another woman whom I saw worshipping her god but her son was bound and cannot move.  I told her to look at what her god had done to her child. I said if you abandon that god and follow my God I will pray for you and your child is going to get well.

“She told me you pray first when my child gets well I will abandon this my god and follow your God.  I said I’m the teacher and my students do not dictate the curriculum to me. So, she smashed the pot on the ground and destroyed it.

“Then, I just said boy get up in the name of Jesus.  He got up and began to walk. From that time, miracles have been happening across states in Nigeria. And now I’m here again, great things are going to happen. The theme of this crusade is “Loose Him and Let Him Go”. Starting from Thursday through to Tuesday next week, everyone in bondage of sickness, problems, challenges, we are going to loose them and let them go. God is present to loose them and let them go.”
