A video has surfaced online showing a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, making heavy allegations against late Access Bank CEO, Herbert Wigwe. The accusation also touched Tony Elumelu, CEO of United Bank for Africa UBA.

The accusations were reportedly made hours before news of Wigwe’s tragic death broke out from California in the United States of America.

Emerald News reports that Wigwe, alongside his wife and son had died in a helicopter crash on their way from California to Las Vegas in the United States.

Lots of respected personalities who shared their experiences about the deceased while grieving his loss had spoken about his astounding contributions to the Nigerian banking industry.

However, in a recent video shared on TVC’s YouTube’s page, George claimed that the deceased had skeletons in his cupboard.

According to the PDP chieftain, Wigwe and other Bank CEOs such as UBA’s CEO, Tony Elumelu and former CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, all made billions from the corruption in the Nigerian banking industry.

He claimed that dollars were given to the bank CEOs every month but they would use the money to make personal profits for themselves.

The elder statesman alleged that Wigwe and his colleagues would sell the dollars to Aboki, BDC, Black market and make billions of Naira in profit.

He noted that the dollars never got to the citizenry who were in need of it.

SEE EXCERPTS FROM THE INTERVIEW

“Where is the factory of the bank MDs, Herbert Wigwe, Elumelu, and others? Elumelu was just a floor bank man. Somehow he got license. They are now stupendously rich.

“Herbert Wigwe who became MD of Access Bank immediately that young man left has now established a university. He has the temerity to advertise the university on CNN, Wigwe University, personally established by himself. Where’s his factory? Access Bank.

“What is the practice? They release dollars to them on monthly basis, they use the dollars for themselves. If it is one to 100, they use the malams one to two hundred. From there, they make profits.

“You hardly get dollars from tte bank except you are a big man. Is that commercial activity? What these men have done to this country, they must be invited for discussion, because the rottenness started grom there and had been going on gor years. But it has exploded.

“For Godwin Emefiele, have you ever seen any central bank of any country givong loans to individuals? What was going on in his head? He turned CBN to commercial bank. Central bank that should be responsible for fiscal and monetary policy, he turned it to a commercial bank. They forgot completely.

“He had the temerity to come out and wanted to contest as president because he has stolen so much money through the process.”
