PDP receives baptism of fire as it attempts blackmailing Buhari’s APC

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) may have made a fatal mistake as it attempts blackmailing the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) using photos of dilapidated university classrooms where students are seen learning in a crowded classroom where many are sitting on the bare floor.

The photos displayed by a PDP twitter handle different from the official PDP revealed pictures depicting pathetic scene of students struggling to write sitting on the floor while others were standing in the overcrowded classroom.

In the photos posted by PDP2023 with the hashtag @PDP_2023, the party said: “This is a typical learning condition in Nigerian Universities. The President of this country approved N27 Billion for renovation of the NASS complex in frame 4. SHAME.”

But rather than getting support from people, the reactions all pointed accusing finger at the PDP for failing to address the challenges in the university education while the party ruled from 1999 to 2015. It was more of backlash on the party rather than support as it the party expects in the tweet.

Chiukwujioke @chiukwujioke said: “Sentiment apart pls….this has been like this over the last 20years…even when the PDP was on seat….No difference between APC and PDP. Go to schools in Owerri u see similar thing….I experienced more than this in my school days ……so???”

ANDREW_AI @Kiddojazz: “Pls in as much I don’t like the present government. PDP was no better during their time, I can remember the long strike during OBJ and GEJ time. Make we just call them to order but stop this silly game.”
