The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has been critized for sending condolences to Davido and his fiancé, Chioma, over their son, Ifeanyi, death.
In the condolence message, Obi said he cannot begin to imagine the pains the couple are passing through at the moment. He assured that his thoughts and prayers are with the family.
“I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma, over the death of their son Ifeanyi. I cannot begin to imagine the pains they are going through at the moment. May God grant them healing, strength and comfort in this trying time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family,” he wrote.
Replying to Obi’s tweet, a follower simply identified as Edet Rhinelander, tweeted, “Politicians are only showing concern because it is political season and they all want to score political points.”
However, another follower, Lexis, who thought otherwise replied Edet’s tweet, ” Everything is not politics, not everyone is heartless like you, ” Lexis wrote.
