The Nigeria police have arrested two clerics, Cletus Nwachukwu Egole, a 60-year-old man and Michael UBA, 33-years old from Imo state in connection with various crimes in the South Eastern states of Nigeria.
Nwachukwu aka Alewa is said to be a native of Orlu while Michael Uba 33, both are from Imo state in the South Eastern state of Nigeria.
According to Frank MBA, the force public relations officer, Abuja, the duo were implicated in multiple felonies committed across several states in the South Eastern part of the country.
They were arrested in various parts of the country following sustained and intelligence-driven operations.
Frank MBA, in a statement, said Cletus Nwachukwu Egole aka Alewa, is a pastor with the Holy Blessed Trinity Sabbath Church, Orlu, Imo State while Michael Uba, is a prophet with the Association of Jewish Faith.
He said they were part of the masterminds of the various attacks on security personnel, in addition to providing spiritual cover for the gang.
He added that Cletus Nwachukwu Egole aka Alewa’s house was used by the gang members to plan their nefarious operations. He also donated his late brother’s farmland for use as a hideout and training camp for the gang.
