Popular Nigerian church pastor gives recipe for good Christian dressing, says most women dress to kill

Against the loose and immodest dressing prevalent in society, Christians have been admonished to dress decently and be example of the life of Christ

 The call was made by Cosfinney Udoka, the resident Pastor of House On The Rock in Asaba, the Delta state capital on Sunday, April 11, 2021.

He said:  “There is a way a person appears, you automatically know the culture the individual comes from. People are identified by their mode of dressing, people address you the way you are dressed.

“Christians dress code has become a difficult thing to discover as people dress very inappropriately to church these days,” he told members of the church

“There is a way a woman would dress, it would become an invitation to treat, what some clothes tell the man is to make an offer. Every woman should dress in such a way that they do not tell men to make offer.”

 The preacher buttressed this fact using  2Timothy 2:9 which says “And I want women to be modest in their appearance.

 “They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes, when attention is negative it is bad.”

 The clergy added that “there are some women you see, you become decent and there are some you see and go wayward alongside with them, the dress code for Christains is decency and modesty.”

 Cosfinney urged Christians to decide to live in such a way that they will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

“It is unfortunate that the problem of the believers is within the believers. In the past people are told to go to church and be among people of faith but now people give their lives to Christ and lose it inside the church.

“Christian dressing should be the status quo on how people should appear, being in the kingdom should influence your dressing”.

 He implored Christains to be unapologetic about their culture, influence the world with it  and not conform to the idea of any unacceptable revealing culture.

The clergy  insisted that Christians should represent the Christian culture wherever they go, even when they want to swim,, saying “Always dress decent and let your dressing represent God and not lead people to sin
