In his acceptance speech, the new chairman said his leadership will build a workable collaboration with the Amnesty Office and ensure that beneficiaries enjoy a new lease of life adding that he will foster a healthy relationship between the Dr Dennis Otuaro-led management of PAP, ex-militant leaders and others.

As soon as the announcement of Muturu as the winner of the election, the atmosphere was electrified as ex-agitators trooped out in jubilation, confirming the free and fair nature of the election.
