Delta state government has concessioned Asaba airport for the next 30 years. In a post made by Delta state government on Facebook, Okowa said the company will manage it for the next 30 years.
The government said the company will pay N100million yearly with an initial sum of N1billion. This was made hours after signing the agreement at Delta government house.

“Today, the Delta State government signed a concession agreement with Asaba Airport Company to manage and run the Asaba International Airport for the next 30 years.
“Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in his speech disclosed that the Concessionaire will pay an annual fee of 100 million naira to the state and an initial sum of 1 billion (One Billion naira) to the state government hours after the agreement is signed.
